Why do so many Americans want government ran health-care?

I am originally from the U.K and let me just tell you government ran health-care sucks. You pay a massive percentage of your income for health care and it is crap. It hurts all The middle class and the Rich and only benefits the poor. You pay way more in tax then you would in health insurance. And on top of that all the health-care sucks. Government ran health care is like the D.N.V but 100 times more frustrating you can wait for up to 4 hours for a check up and it is hard to even get a check up.
