I'M 16 YEARS OLD AND MY MOM WONT LET ME WEAR TO JUST ONE PARTY?

its just sooo frustrating for me to explain to her that its not all that bad cause its just this one FORMAL sweet sixteen birthday party and its one of my closest friends. I just have to go to heels cause if I dont, i'll be the only midget there while everyone has sexy heels on and its pretty embarrassing. And if I even try to explain to her that everyone else is going to wear it then she's gonna bring up the whole senario of, "if someone jumps off a bridge, will you do it too?" ya know? I want her to know that its okay and its completely normal..when I was ****** 14 or 15 i didnt even care about high heels ! and now? COME ON ! she's probably not used to me going out and stuff to like parties and events..cause im not tht kind of party person..im more of a chill home kind of girl....and I hate it !!! im already 16 and I want to have REAL fun..I just want to feel that experience and actually be happy ! and even though I go to the party without heels looking like a little girl...I will feel very crappy about myself with a still low self esteem..I JUST WANT TO HAVE FUN IS THAT TOO MUCH TO ASK FOR ? how do i convince her ?!
