Xbox 360 controller keeps disconnecting?

I just know it's the battery pack.. loose or whatever. I have batteries that can last a while longer in there I know. But, it keeps disconnecting. I tried taping it down.. no luck. It is frustrating me very much.. I am going to rampage about it soon. I'm sure others may have had this same problem.. any resolution?
