Questions about the California standardized tests?

in a couple of weeks or so, we're going to be taking the CSTs at my high school. I'm in ninth grade and I have some questions about it. first of all, about how many days do you suppose the CSTs last? Will my score on the CST affect my grades or chances of getting into college? If not, what is the purpose of the CST? Are the CST scores on our "permanent record" or something? Basically how does the CST affect me personally? Because I'm in 9th grade, what does the CST test consist of? Ex: geometry, English, social science, etc. Thank you in advance!!!
